Education in South Africa.

Education system in South Africa is currently undergoing a tremendous transformation.
The main challenge for the present government of Jacob Zuma is to provide quality and competitive education to the people of the country .
Even the smallest institutions of education in the country have changed their policies in order to suit the competitive environment.
The technology institutions or technikons in the country are growing in numbers and are providing quality education for more than a million students presently.
There are nearly 21 public universities, 15 technikons and several number of colleges who have setup their own council and report to them instead of the government

A number of universities in the country are implementing cutting edge research education and are becoming known to the education world.
Private institutions are growing in great numbers than before and are competiting among themselves to provide Quality and better education compared to the already established govt institutions.
Education has become one of the main issue or priority for the present government and about 20% of the budget is being dedicated to the educational system in South africa. It also plans to setup research and development institutes from private and govt bodies
Things are getting better and better day by day in the education sector.

Any institution no matter what their size or the quality of education is , they are surely bringing rich diversity in the feild of education.
